ADULTS
The set fee for an adult new patient appointment at
Clarence Dental Practice is £95.00. This fee
covers a discussion with the dentist, thorough history
taking, examination of your mouth and teeth, relevant
x-rays and a written report of the dentist’s
findings, suggested treatment needs and an estimate
of cost.
Once an adult patient has registered with Clarence
Dental Practice, they have 3 methods of payment:
- Pay-as-you-go. This
means as it says, that you pay for treatment as
you need it. Patient’s are given an estimate
of costs before treatment is carried out, so as
there are no surprises. We accept cash, cheques
and most credit cards (not American Express).
- For
more complex /costly treatments some patients sign
up to a payment scheme operated through Code PLC.
Bespoke dental finance can be simply authorised
with options on repayments up to a 5 year period.
- Clarence
Dental Plan. We offer a popular
capitation payment scheme Clarence Dental
Plan. This
suits patients who like to budget for their
dentistry and avoid any unexpected surprises.
To join the scheme you need to be ‘dentally
fit’ ie have no outstanding treatment needs.
The dentist will assess your teeth and gums and
place you into banding based on past treatment
and likely treatment needs. We then set up a monthly
direct debit which covers all dental /hygienist
treatments, excluding any laboratory costs. We
also include accidental damage insurance cover.

CHILDREN (age 3-18, or full time
education)
For our children our new patient
fee is £37.50.
There are then 2 choices:
- Pay-as-you-go. As
above, less 20% adult fee.
- Junior Dental
Plan . This is a monthly direct
debit scheme covering all regular dental check
ups, treatments, prevention, hygienist/therapist
visits, fissure sealants, gum shield, goody bags
and insurance cover.
NB. We see under 3’s for free if the parents
are regular patients and offer a discount for
families.
We do not offer any treatments on the NHS at Clarence
Dental Practice
